Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"Hands down one of the most unique places we visited while in town. We came in early October so towards the end of season and we came for lunch and did have to wait about 20 minutes. I think it was a poker run because there several high dollar boats parked in the slips and 2 helicopters in the parking lot. I felt like the wait staff was attentive for how busy it was and drinks were good. My burger was just okay. I wouldn’t order it again. I can see this place getting a bit rowdy in peak season so I’m not sure if we’d bring our kids, but maybe we can do another October trip with them instead of summer"
"Parking- go early, plan ahead. This is a brand new establishment so the people bashing this place for poor parking arrangements must’ve missed the construction trucks, signs and other obvious indicators that they’re still partially under construction. I’m so happy they opened when they did and didn’t wait another few months until their parking lot was perfected. Seating - I love the many options for seating here. You have full sun, partial sun and cave options. Big groups? I’d say prob not unless you’ve called well in advance (like at least a day or more). Food - We ordered burgers fries and chicken strips (kids menu). My kids never finish their food. Ever. But all four kids ate every spec on their plates! The kids loved the crispy crinkle fries the most but the burgers and strips were definitely a hit. Drinks - the drink options are unique and tasty while still offering everyday faves. I ordered the Frozen Raspberry Lemonade and it is my new favorite drink! Soooo refreshing. Dylan at the bar made the best recommendations and was especially quick with service, both helpful and friendly! Service - we hardly waited for our food. We planned ahead and got here right when they opened. The bartenders, waitstaff, busters, food expediters and even the construction workers were all friendly and welcoming. Price - I’d say the price is consistent with lake pricing. If you want cheap, go somewhere cheap. If you want quality and a great experience, come here. As a local, I give this place two thumbs up. This place takes everything fun about our lake and highlighted the uniqueness of our caves."
"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Cave is one of the most unique spots at Lake of the Ozarks! The atmosphere is unlike anywhere else—dining and hanging out inside an actual cave is such a cool experience. The staff is friendly, the drinks are great, and the food always hits the spot. It’s a perfect place to take friends or family when you want something memorable, and the lakefront setting makes it even better. Definitely a must-visit at the lake!"
"We went right before closing and they were so gracious and kind. You do not find that often right before closing time and our hungry softball players were VERY thankful! This was our first time here and it will now be one of our go to places to eat at the lake. It was late at night and in September so we didn’t get to try out the pools, but they were still fun to see. We will be trying those out next summer for sure! The girls had fun playing in the cave. It was much bigger than I was expecting."
"This place is pretty cool. I think it would have been great to not bring the small kids along as I feel like it's more of a super cool hang out for the party crowd. Nonetheless, we had a great time. It was super busy when we visited but the service and the food was great! I was looking to give you a review on Trip Advisor as well but I see that you're not listed there yet! Best of luck to this super cool new business!"
"This is a unique place. It’s a very large venue with tons of accommodations. There is food and dining areas. There are multiple bars, walk and swim up. Not to mention that there are two caves. One cave has the pool and cornhole with tables, the other with games and sand. The amount of dock space is awesome!! The staff handled the crowds nicely!"
"Hands down the nicest place on the lake. Tons of boats slips with really nice wide covered slips for boats over 40ft. Really appreciate the hose to rinse off your feet before getting on your boat if you happen to get sand from the volleyball court. The food was really good and they have tons of gluten free options which our family really appreciates. The service was top notch at the restaurant, gift shop, docks and each bar. The pool is huge and the area in the cave rally helped us cool down on a hot day. We'll definitely be back!"
"Great spot!!! Park the boat at the dock and walk up. Service is great, sit down and eat or grab a pool side table. I understand it might be really busy on the weekends so we went mid-week. Food and drinks serviced at the best prices on the lake. The Catfish Po boy and Bourbon Burger were two great choices."
